Wow! May is full of fun. First we have May the 4th (be with you)… that’s a Star Wars reference for those who didn’t know. (; Then there’s Cinco de Mayo… then Mother’s Day and finishing the month off with Memorial Day! Whew.

So without further ado, here’s our May pairing special: Calabrian Pesto Olive Oil & Oregano White Balsamic.

Our Calabrian Pesto Olive Oil is labeled as “Spicy Calabrian Pesto” but don’t you worry, it’s very low heat with zero burn. This oil will surprise you with its true basil pesto flavor… you can even taste the parm! But here’s a fun fact: this oil is completely vegan (V).

Give me pesto and forget the rest-o! Drizzle this oil over salad, pizzas, charcuterie, hummus, sandwiches and more.

Our zippy and zesty Oregano White Balsamic leans more to the tangy vinegar side than the sweet balsamic side.

With its bright acidic nature, this vinegar uplifts any dressing for Spring and Summer. A go-to grab for drizzling, vinaigrettes and marinades. Tomatoes, tomatoes, tomatoes!!!

Our suggested cooking applications for our May Pairing:

  • Blend together with fresh herbs (basil, parsley, mint) and create a green goddess dressing
  • A delicious bread dipper for those charcuterie board appetizers
  • Pesto chicken marinade for grilling season? I think yes

When we first opened our doors in 2013, we wanted to create an option that would encourage our customers to try new flavors. So we came up with the idea for our “Pairing of the Month” which would change monthly, and be available for purchase at a discounted rate.

Ever since then, our customers have loved experimenting with new flavor combinations… some finding their new favorite pairings along the way!
